Arsenal 5 Everton 1: Aubameyang, Mkhitaryan sparkle as Ramsey hits treble ( Highlights inclusive)

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan dazzled on their Emirates Stadium debuts as Aaron Ramsey's hat-trick led Arsenal's unceremonious 5-1 thumping of Everton. By the time £56million recruit Aubameyang displayed his midas touch in front of goal, Arsene Wenger's side were already three goals to the good and cruising on account of Aaron Ramsey's first two strikes, which came either side of a Laurent Koscielny header. Mkhitaryan set up the Wales international's opener and also laid on Aubameyang, his old partner in crime at Borussia Dortmund, for a goal on his maiden Premier League appearance, although the offside flag should have ruled that one out. Arguably, a defensive showing as abject as the ramshackle interpretation offered by Everton in the first half deserved such ill fortune. On-loan Manchester City centre-back Eliaquim Mangala suffered a debut ordeal and deflected Ramsey's second past Jordan Pickford, while Sam Allardyce's pre-match as

Iranian police arrest 29 for involvement in hijab protests

Police in the Iranian capital, Tehran, have arrested 29 people for their involvement in protests against the country's compulsory headscarf law. Masih Alinejad, the Iranian activist behind the "White Wednesday" social media campaign against mandatory hijabs, who is now based in the US, told CNN that the movement has not been influenced from abroad. The wave of anti-goverment demonstrations last month was sparked by concerns over rising living costs and a stagnant economy, but also provided an opening for Iranian women to push for equal rights. In the past, women who allowed their hijab to slip could be admonished by the religious police, but these forces have been less prominent under the regime of President Hassan Rouhani. Soheila Jaloodarzadeh, a female member of the Iranian Parliament, said on Wednesday during an event on women's rights that the protests were the conclusion of years of restrictions, the semiofficial Ilna news agency reported.

Spirally arranged ancient human skeletons in Mexico baffles scientists

Scientists have unearthed a total of 10 skeletons including those of children as well as adults in a burial ground in Mexico in a peculiar circular/spiral arrangement. The skeletons were found in Tlalpan, a city located in southern frontier of Mexico. After a study of the skeletons, researchers have confirmed that two out of the ten skeletons belong to the female gender while one was a male. These skeletons have been estimated to be 2,400-year old. The rest of the skeletons are currently being studied. However, most of these skeletons belong to children out of which the scientists have been able to identify a skeleton of a baby who was around one-month-old while another child was between the ages of three to five. A researcher from the Pontifical University of Mexico, Jimena Rivera Escamilla stated that the alignment of the bodies suggested that they were placed one upon the other.Escamilla also stated that the individuals could represent the circle of life that starts from a baby g
